Bialowieza – Wild Poland in winter

Bialowieza – Wild Poland in winter

Marc: I’ve just returned from a phototrip to Eastern Poland. We’ve spent a short week in and around Bialowieza Forest. Finding European Bison wasn’t an easy task this year. However, patience always pays off and we’ve found smaller herds under very interesting conditions – harsh winter is by far the best setup for bison photography!
Apart from bison we also tried to capture white-tailed eagle and other raptors. And we were quite successful although it wasn’t the white tailed primarily that made us happy. We were blessed with a golden eagle! In fact not a very common sight in the lowlands of Eastern Poland.
I am already working on the dates for 2020. So if you are interested in joining our bison and winter raptor trip next year, make sure to check back for published dates soon.
