Reportage
Luchs Trail
220km, 11 days – one of Austria’s finest long-distance hiking trails leads right into the most fascinating and diverse habitats that Austria has to offer. It connects Kalkalpen national park, Gesäuse national park and Austria’s largest wilderness area Dürrenstein. The trail passes vast forests, pristine waters and rugged mountain tops.
Christine hiked the trail and was filmed whilst doing so! She experiences „wild life“ along a long-distance trail, climbs mountain tops and meets old and new friends while also contemplating the wild future of Austria’s pristine nature and its inhabitants – especially the ghost of the forest, the lynx.
